26. Buy and sell domain names
Domain name flipping is a low-stress side job you could try if you don’t have time to flip blogs or start a blog yourself.

Passive Income Side Hustle Ideas

31. Make money with peer to peer lending
If you have some extra money to spare you could earn cash with peer to peer lending.

But if your borrowers pay you back on time, you could pocket a nice chunk of change in interest charges.
32. Try real estate crowdfunding
Real estate crowdfunding is another passive way to make money online.
The short and simple version works like this:
- You open an account with a real estate crowdfunding platform
- You browse investment options, then choose one (or more) to invest in
- Your investment makes money through rental income, appreciation or both
Real estate crowdfunding is a great way to make extra money since you can own property investments without being a landlord.

34. Open a high yield savings account
Opening a high yield savings is a simple way to earn money passively. The key is getting a great interet rate on your savings.
For that, I prefer online banks to traditional savings accounts. Online banks can offer better rates while charging fewer fees.
If you need a recommendation for an online bank, check out CIT. CIT Bank offers some of the most competitive rates around for high yield savings accounts.
35. Create a CD ladder
CDs are another way to save money while generating passive income from interest. A CD ladder consists of multiple CDs that earn different rates.
Creating a CD ladder keeps your savings accessible and it can help you keep up with changing interest rates. Check out the CD options available from CIT.
36. Refinance your student loans
Student loan debt can take a toll on your budget. If you’re ready to ditch your debt and save money on interest, refinancing can put cash back in your pocket.
Refinancing student loans or other types of debt can lower your interest rate. The less you pay in interest, the more of your payment goes toward the principal.
You could then take the difference and invest it to generate passive income.
If you’re interested in how much refinancing could save you, head to Earnest to get a free quote.
37. Cut your credit card debt
Credit card interest can cost you money but slashng your rates can help you make some of it back.

49. Design and sell Canva templates
Templates and Tailwind are my two must-haves for making Pinterest less work.
I pay for a couple of Canva template subscriptions a month because I am way design-challenged.
But if you can make beautiful pins, ebooks or other templates you could turn those skills into a high paying side hustle!
And if you want to make this more than a side hustle, a blog or website is another must-have. Remember, you can start a blog with Siteground for just pennies a day!
50. Do voiceover work

Aluminum cans, glass and assorted metals can be sold for easy money.
Get in touch with your local recycling center to find out what you can sell for cash.
63. Start a lawn care service
Not long ago I drove my riding lawnmower through a fence.
While I was still on it. I’m lucky to still have a face.
But if you’re not as incompetent as me when it comes to lawn care you could mow lawns or weed yards for money on the side. 🙂
64. Become a personal shopper
We live in a small town with a lot of seniors. So one way I’ve seen people making extra money is hiring themselves out as personal shoppers and errand-runners.
So for example, you could make money dropping things off at the post office or picking up dry cleaning or running by the grocery store.
This side hustle idea requires you to get out of the house but if you don’t mind that it’s a low-stress way to make money.
65. Try mystery shopping

With people gradually getting back into travel, now could be a great time to make money as an Airbnb host!

Just remember to check the local ordinances where you live, since some cities have banned Airbnb and other short-term rentals.
And don’t forget that like other side hustle income, you’ve got to pay taxes on the money you make!
68. Rent out your driveway
Don’t want to rent out your house or spare room?
Try renting out your driveway instead!
CurbFlip, for example, lets you list and rent out your driveway space or curbside parking to people who need a place to park.
And of course, you could always rent out your space yourself by dropping an ad on Craiglist or posting in local Facebook bargain groups.

For example, you might get paid to water the plants, collect the mail and just keep an eye on things in general.
You can create a profile, check out listed housesitting gigs and apply for jobs all in one place.
70. Clean houses
My mom cleaned houses when I was a kid. This was one of many side jobs she had over the years as a single mom.
If you’re a clean freak type or at least have an eye for detail, you could make money cleaning houses.
There are a few ways to find gigs.
First, you could apply for a job with a maid or cleaning service. But this usually means working their schedule and earning a set hourly wage.
Another option is to hire yourself out as a housekeeper in your spare time.
For example, we live in a beach community where people rent oceanfront homes all summer. So a lot of locals side hustle doing cleaning jobs for the rental companies between check-ins.
This way, you can work on your schedule. And you can set your own rates so you have control over what you earn!
71. Get paid to sew
Got sewing skills?
I definitely don’t but if you do, you could easily make money doing alterations in your spare time.
For example, you could tailor suits, hem prom dresses or make a few bucks repairing zippers and replacing buttons.
72. Become a notary
Being a notary is one of the most overlooked side hustle ideas in my opinion.
I mean, nobody thinks about notaries until they need one right?
Becoming a notary is different in every state but it usually involves filling out an application and passing an exam.
And once you’ve been certified as a notary, you could easily earn $15 an hour or more on average for your services!
73. Try personal training
Everybody wants to be in better shape. And personal trainers can provide the motivation you need to get moving when you just don’t feel like it.
If you’ve got a passion for fitness, you could start a side hustle as an in-home or virtual personal trainer.
The requirements aren’t that difficult either; you have to pass an exam and meet some other guidelines to get certified.
From there, you can start offering your services as a trainer in clients’ homes or set up a website to train clients online!
74. Get paid to clean pools
I have a pool. And I hate cleaning that thing.
So I pay someone else to do it.
I don’t know exactly what my pool guy makes but based on what I pay and the number of clients he has, I’m guessing it’s easily several thousand dollars a month.
And did I mention it takes him about an hour to do the job each time?
If you’re familiar with how to balance pool chemicals and you know how to handle a leaf skimmer and vacuum, cleaning pools could be a profitable side hustle to try.
75. Get paid to stage homes
Home-staging is a big selling point for people who are looking to buy a house.
Sometimes, it’s the home-seller or the real estate agent who does this. But a lot of real estate companies hire home stagers to get properties ready for buyers to view.
If you’ve got a flair for interior design you could easily make extra money staging homes. You can reach out to local real estate companies to offer your services.
76. Take photos for real estate agents
Another option for making money on the side is becoming a real estate photographer.
